Senior Design Engineer

The Role

The role consists of candidates to prepare accurate, detailed drawings and material lists for Subsea Installation aids, deck layouts and procedural sketches in accordance with the specified procedures using CAD computer software. You will too be supervising design/drafting in area(s) allocated by Design/Drafting Supervisor. A main job requirement would also consist of providing advice and guidance to supporting designer/drafters on preparation of drawings and conceptual designs. You will be acting as a lead person for assigned projects, attend meetings, visit job sites or manufacturing facilities, provide scheduling input, hours and material estimates.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D and Excel; Experience with Inventor is also preferred. They are looking for someone with 7 years plus in design/drafting experience or a combination and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Candidates should be able to take direction and work with minimum supervision. Innovation and originality is needed.

The Package

The basic salary offered for this role is between £35,000 - £60,000. Benefits including annual staff bonus, first-rate healthcare and pension scheme.
