The Role

Candidates are required to recruit, supervise, train and mentor teams of engineers and analysts delivering advanced pipeline engineering studies. Work with senior management to develop and grow advanced pipeline business, this position carries an entitlement to sit on the local management team. Able to undertake advanced pipeline studies, including: concept and feasibility studies, front end engineering, hydraulic studies, pipeline routing studies, cost estimating and construction reviews. Be responsible for bid package preparation for pipeline projects including, specs and drawings. Work with other staff disciplines (riser, subsea, materials etc.) and posibly subcontractors, to implement studies and designs.

The Candidate

You must have proven ability in the arean of pipeline engineering, including route optimization, material selection, insulation selection and methods, mechanical design, span analysis, thermal expansion, hydrodynamic force calculations, stability analysis, cathodic protection design, shore approach and riser and spool tie-in analysis. Also you would of managed projects, and have experience in pipeline/pipe-lay analysis, using industry standard software. Excellent communication skills, and to be familiar with field development scenarios and proficient in pipeline, riser and subsea structure design and installation engineering both in shallow and deep water. Proven experience of high quality technical report writing. You must have a engineering degree and a chartered engineer status is an advantage.

The Package

The basic salary offered for this role is between £55,000 - £70,000. Benefits including annual staff bonus, first-rate healthcare and pension scheme. A car allowence will also be available.
